Hey there Liberal friend! Just so happens I am a Graphic Designer, and as you may have seen on Natalie's and my website we change things up often lately.
First thing is visual aid. You need pictures, google some images and use only the HUGE versions. Then throw it into a photo editor (I use PS, but that can be expensive). And through a good typeface with your "The Liberal Mormon That Could" across it. And that will help spruce it up a little bit.
Without having any knowledge of html, that's about the best I can do for you. But I can give more pointers some other time if that's needed. Send an email my way! TTFN!

I had a website back in the day (about ten years ago), so I do know a bit about HTML, but beyond that HA!!
I have Paint Shop Pro 5 - and I don't know much about that. It's old, but it's better than nothing, right?
I found a template on another site and downloaded the code...It says I'd have to do a bunch of *gasp* work to get it done, like reset all the coding (like for my stat counter) and I'm lazy.
I should just do it though.

One suggestion would to use pre-formated free designs, like those found at www.thecutestblogontheblock.com - No, I am not affiliate in anyway. my wife uses these and changes up her blog once a month or so.
